ON AIR NOW:
Letter from Tim and Jeff in the Morning on Today's Show
2:13PM Wednesday
January 30, 2013

We've gotten a HUGE response from today's show.

Around 7:30 this morning, we had a woman from Bentonville named Amy on the air. She had told us off-air that she wanted help telling her friend something that was pretty serious. Click here to hear all about what happened.

In hindsight, yeah this probably wasn't the best idea in the world.

When Amy reached out to us about confronting her friend over this weight issue, we knew that it probably wasn't going to go over well. We also didn't expect Amy to be so intense about it. Listening back to it, things got very heavy, very quickly. We can honestly say that we didn't think Amy would be so direct and cold hearted.

In all the years Tim and I have done the show, we've had a lot of crazy folks on. I think there have been way worse people on the air with us. What about the woman who said that "weed ain't gonna hurt no baby"?

I think the thing that makes this situation different is that we didn't have a better filter for it. We do our best to be nice guys on the radio. Honestly, we didn't expect this Amy thing to be so negative. Maybe it was us being dumb dudes who didn't expect things to get out of control like they did? We don't know.

We're sorry it happened.

What's done is done.

We can't change the fact that these folks had their drama aired on our show. What we can do is try and make things a little better.

Amy has agreed to come back on the show tomorrow. She wants to issue an official apology to Lauren over the radio because (as expected) she isn't answering Amy's calls.

We've reached out to Lauren as well. Still no response.

We are also reaching out to some local experts to talk about bullying and friend relationships.

Tim and I are going to try and use this as a learning experience. What we hope happens is that you join us as we go through it all together.

If you've listened to our show before, you know that we truly care about the Tim & Jeff family. Hey, we're only human. We've messed up.

Please use this as a chance to tell your kids they should never act like Amy did. Please use this as a chance to tell your kids that sometimes people make bad choices, but that doesn't make them bad people.

We promise to make this better and truly appreciate you giving us a chance to make it right. We also understand if you choose to not turn us on again.

Amy will be on again at 7:30am tomorrow morning to try and apologize to Lauren.

Let's start there.

Thank you for giving us a shot. Thank you guys for always supporting our show and being a part of it every single day. We couldn't do what we do without y'all.

Sincerely,

Tim and Jeff in the Morning.
