A long time ago, when we used to work here in Northwest Arkansas, we had an intern named Darshaun "Dmac" McAway.

Since he was on the show, he's written several books. His latest is called, "Girlfriend Vs. Wife Duties'. ... it's pretty interesting... you definitely should click on it and give it a read.

Back to his firing...

A few years ago I (Jeff) recieved a phone call in the middle of the night. Apparently there was some sort of argument that happened at a club where the radio station had a regular hosting night. One thing led to the other and Dmac allegedly pulled out a gun on the dude he was arguing with.

Here's the thing, earlier in the day Dmac had been talking about a 9mm bb gun he owned and was going to use in some sort of photo shoot. I asked the other dude in the argument what the gun Dmac pulled looked like and he described the gun I had seen earlier in the day.

We decided to let Dmac go from the show the next day.
 

Darshaun came on the show this morning to explain his side of the story... which he still doesn't really admit to pulling the gun. But he admits that he did some really stupid stuff back in the day and seemed apologetic.

SO there you go. A little insight into why one of the more controversial interns from our show was let go back in the day.
